Day 2 - Thimphu Valley

Breakfast at hotel and visit more exciting sites in Thimphu today.
Visit the Zilukha Nunnery to discover the lifestyle of nuns residing in the monastery.
Take a walk by the busiest Centenary Farmer Market where fresh Bhutanese produce are available.
Visit the Royal Takin Preserve and observe Bhutan’s National Animal Takin, the fascinating odd looking animal.
Take a short hike to Wangditse Nature Trail and capture the admirable view of Thimphu Valley.

Dinner at Hotel.
Overnight at Thimphu.

Day 3 - Punakha Valley

Breakfast at hotel and Drive towards beautiful Punakha Valley.
Explore Punakha, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Bhutan.
Journey to Punakha valley, takes you into some of Bhutan’s most spectacular scenery, from high mountains passes to tiered fields and along the river banks of Pho Chu and Mo Chu.
Stop at Dochula Pass to capture a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain ranges.
Discover Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of the ‘Divine Madman’.
Enter the courtyard of Pungthang Dewachen Phodrang – Palace of Great Happiness, the beautiful fortress is the winter residence of Bhutan’s Central Monastic Body.
Walk along the longest Suspension bridge and cross the Pho Chu River.
Dinner at Hotel.
Overnight at Punakha.

Day 4 - Paro Valley

Relish a picnic breakfast at the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten and enjoy the bird eye view of the fertile Punakha Valley.
Visit the phallas village in Punakha which is one of the highlights of Bhutanese culture.
Lunch at Hotel Lobesa and Drive to beautiful Paro Valley, one of the picturesque region and a widest valley in the Kingdom.
Hotel Check in.
Get a glimpse of the traditional architecture at the Rinpung Dzong popular known as Fortress on a heap of Jewels.

Day 5 - First day of Bumdra Trek

Breakfast at Hotel.
Walk past the Drugyel Dzong – “Fortress of the Victorious Bhutanese”, an impressive and imposing sight.
Enter the Kyichu Lhakhang and explore one of the oldest temples in Bhutan originally built in the 7th century.
Lunch at Local Restaurant.
Bumdra Trek adventure begins with drive up to the Sang Choekor (2,800m) to meet our ponies and while they are being loaded. The initial 1–2 hour ascent of a ridge can be steep at times but in cool shade and reach a clearing with prayer flags and enjoy a spectacular view of both Paro and Do Chhu valleys.
About 1-2 hours walk away is the Chhoe Chhoe Tse Lhakhang (temple); which nestles at the side of the mountain. The trail continues and when we reach the last steep elevation we will see a temple overlooking the views of Paro airport and the snow-capped Himalaya.
Hike into the ancient forest for about 40 minutes before we reach a wide meadow with sacred chortens and prayer flags.
Overnight at Bumdra Monastery Monastery (3,800m), (the cave of a thousand prayers).

After a hearty breakfast in the jaw dropping landscape, it is time to either head straight back into the valley or linger awhile soaking up the view and perhaps hang some prayer flags of your own.
We drop back into the ancient pine and rhododendron forest on the monks’ zig zag trail.
After 1-2 hours of descent we catch glimpses of the golden roofs of temples below and soon come upon the first of many on our way back from the wilds.
An hour later and we are at the gates of Taktsang looking across the gorge a steep descent to a waterfall then ascent on steps and you are passing into the Tiger’s Nest itself.
Captivate the stunning Tiger’s Nest, one of the most holy sites in Bhutan which clings impossibly to a sheer cliff face 900 meters above the Paro Valley.
